3 august 2009 - Førde, Firda Billag garage. This is the very last non-Volvo from Carrus delivered in Norway. The Norwegian success story of body from Carrus and chassis from Scania had come to an end. But now that Volvo have sold the last remaining Carrus factory in Finland, who knows if the concept will return again in a few years.

3 august 2009 - Førde, Firda Billag garage. The new bus on the express route between Førde and Oslo. This is a replacement for one that was delivered in January 2008, that was so stiff in the frame that it was returned to the factory and is probably recycled now. Clearly Scania had done something wrong when they released the new OmniExpress model, and they have now changed how the buses are made, so they are apparently much better. This is also the second known K480 in Norway. And ... "ta-da" ... this pic is shot number 35 000 on my current camera. ;)

3 august 2009 - Førde, Firda Billag garage. Started out as a tourist coach, but is now serving as an express coach on the line between Trondheim and Bergen. When I shot the picture it had just been repainted and the text would come on later that day.

3 august 2009 - Førde, Firda Billag garage. This is the first and so far only Lahti Scala in Norway. Unfortunately it is bought for service on a 62km route on quite rough roads, so it`s not very popular amongst the passengers. Perhaps has the need to make buses available for physically impaired people gone a bit too far? This is also the only K380UB I`ve ever heard of. 380 horses in a low entry bus is not the most common, even if it`s a long one.
